Local Heroes Careers Day

At Dairy Meadow we have a robust careers education programme to expose all of our children to the world of work. We believe that by meeting inspiring individuals, from a range of workplaces, can inspire our children to be whatever they want to be.

Thursday 25th November saw us have our first 'Local Heroes Careers Day'. Our KS2 children were able to meet members of the local community who have grown up around Southall and gone on to lead successful, fulfilling lives.

The children had to be career detectives to try and guess what occupation our visitors had. After that they had a 15 minute question and answer session. All of our visitors were impressed with the curiosity and behaviour of our children.

If you would like to volunteer to take part in our next careers event, please get in touch with Mr Feldman.

Our guest list included:

Davinder Dhillon - Senior systems analyst for Amazon Web Services

Nishy Lall - Head of youth development for Sky TV

Juliet Brettell - Head curator at Gunnersbury Park Museum

Kausar Khanzadi - Border force at Heathrow Airport
