2023-2024 Project Jupiter Starts!

We all know all the children at Dairy Meadow are 'out of this world'. Thursday 23rd November 2023 gave the chance for Year 5 to start reaching for the musical stars as Project Jupiter returned.

Our future musicians were visited by approximately 40 members of students and staff from Saint Paul's Girls' School, who travelled all the way from Hammersmith to see us.

We were treated to performance of one of Brahms' Hungarian Dances (Number 5 to be exact!) and had a chance to listen to the students from SPGS explain to us all what their instruments were, and what they sounded like individually. We were then lucky enough to return to our classes, where our visitors came to see us and show us how to play their instruments up close. The cohort got to try violin, cello, flute, trumpet, and clarinet. While it was a fantastic experience, to say it got a bit loud is quite the understatement!

We want to thank the staff and students of Saint Paul's Girls' School for their time, and year 5 will continue to work alongside them as a part of the fantastic Jupiter Project, so watch this space for more updates!
