Artists In Residence Kicks Off!

Key Stage 2 were really excited on Monday 29th April 2024 as we welcomed in our artist in residence, the animator Sophie Burrows!

Sophie taught us all about the materials and skills used when creating a range of animations. Our young creatives learned about claymation and stop frame animation, hopefully inspiring the next generation of Nick Park's!

Sophie will be working with our Year 3's closely over the next few weeks, keep your eyes peeled for some of their work online! We will also be holding a creative festival where we will show off all the amazing animations created.

Further information about Sophie and her wonderful work can be found at: - https://www.animatingeducation.co.uk/

We couldn't have this wonderful opportunity without the support of Rosemary, Fliss and the entire Eastside team. Artists in Residence is a funded programme delivered by Eastside, thanks to funding from John Lyons Charity.
