Brompton Cycles Showcase for Year 5

Thursday 28th September 2023 saw our Year 5's receive a special treat from Brompton Cycles and Primary Futures - a unique showcase that allowed us to go behind the scenes at one of the UK's most innovative companies.

Our young engineers were the beneficiaries from an online showcase hosted by Jude that allowed them to meet several of the varied workforce at Brompton Cycles. They gained an insight in marketing from Lisa, a guide to selling cycles from Willemijn in the Netherlands and a virtual tour of the factory by Phil!

The children gained an amazing insight into the world of manufacture and how an assembly line works. They appreciated that product design, material science and health and safety plays a key role in industry. They applied their SkillsBuilder skills of Teamwork and Leadership to contribute and ask pertinent questions.

A big thank you has to go to Jude, Avant, Nick and Zee from Primary Futures who hosted and filmed the event. We are so grateful for all the work you do with Dairy Meadow to allow our children to dream big and have those memorable experiences.
