Building Future London Celebration

A brisk, bright Wednesday 18th January 2023 saw Mr Feldman and Mrs Bhambra take 10 of our wonderful young engineers to City Hall (the workplace of London Mayor Sadiq Khan) to take part in the Building Future London Celebration event.

You may remember that a while back we had a careers event hosted in conjunction with Primary Futures that saw our children meet a wide range of volunteers from the construction sector? Stemming from this the charity Education and Employers held a competition for our young architects to design a job that will exist in the future. I'm pleased to announce that Mankirat of Oak Class' entry came 'Highly Commended' and as a result we were able to attend the celebration event at City Hall.

During the event, children were able to hear a keynote speech from Muyiwa Oki, the first black president elect of RIBA as well as Molly Strauss a member of the GLA (Greater London Authority). Our children were then able to network and connect/re-connect with some old and new contacts from the industry that shape the future of this great city we are proud to be part of.
