Cisco Visit Year 6

Even though it's the last week of the Summer term, we still try and provide our children with as much enrichment and careers related learning as possible. Today we welcome Devyani Geentilal to the Dairy Meadow family.

Devyani (also known as Chhaya from Year 6's aunt!) works for the ICT mega giant Cisco. Last year they had a 51.6 billion dollar turnover and as one of only 80,000 employees, plus only being the spritely age of 22, Devyani was an instant hit with our future computer programmers.

Devyani, who went to Havelock Primary and latterly Cranford High School demonstrated that you didn't need to go to university to facilitate future success, enthusing our youngsters about how tech firms are looking for apprentices that are able to demonstrate a passion for tech over education prowess. Year 6 had living breathing proof that anyone from the streets of Southall can make it big, no matter their background, class, religion or race.

A big 'THANK YOU' to Devyani, who is now a firm favourite of the Dairy Meadow family. We would love to welcome you back any time.
