Cyber Choices 2025/26
On Tuesday 18th November 2025, Years 5 and 6 welcomed PC Lisa Smith to Dairy Meadow so our future computer scientists could understand a little more about being safe online.
The Cyber Choices programme taught our children about how to create safe passwords (choose three random words, join them together and add some numbers/symbols), about the legality and illegality of online behaviour and how to report behaviour that they are not comfortable with.
Year 6 also discussed ethical hacking and having this as a potential job – major companies like the NHS have roles for ethical hackers who hack into their system to see where the company’s security needs to be tightened up – this potential job has a starting salary of £65-70k!
A massive thank you to Lisa for joining us and bolstering our safeguarding curriculum.
