Dairy Meadow Gave Racism the Red Card!

On Friday 21st October 2022 you may have noticed something a little bit different about our children as they came to school! Looking like a fleet of fire engines or a troop of ladybirds, pupils and staff alike donned the colour red to kick out racism.

Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) is the UK’s leading anti-racism educational charity. It  was established in January 1996, thanks in part to a donation by then Newcastle United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop. Our donations totalled £272! We want to thank all our wonderful children and parents for helping us support such a valuable charity.

The event, beautifully orchestrated by Miss Spilsted, coincided with some amazing Black History Month assemblies from our pupils.
