Dairy Meadow Sculptors - Year 4

Our Year 4's have channelled their inner Auguste Rodin, Henry Moore and Louise Bourgeois during their art project this week - Statues, Statuettes and Figurines.

This project taught the children all about the 3-D representation of the human form, including statues, statuettes and figurines. This linked with our current history topic as the children studied examples from ancient civilisations, such as; Ancient Egypt and Ancient Sumer. They then used their clay skills to create a Sumer-style figurine. 

We were all really impressed with the outcome!
