Dogs Trust Workshops

There's been a lot in the news recently about dangerous dogs. Whilst we appreciate at Dairy Meadow that there are some canines out there that can pose a threat, the majority of our four legged friends are friendly creatures that deserve our respect. In our quest to keep our children safe at all opportunities, we invited the charity Dogs Trust (and their paw-fect education advisor Karen Hutt) in.

Karen captivated our whole school with an assembly about how to safely approach dogs and the tell-tale signs to watch out for in case our furry friends are agitated or annoyed. She then went from classroom to classroom explaining how to care for pets and imparting key advice on how to ensure our community knows how to act around our favourite tail waggers.

Maybe we should all ask Mrs Reed for a school therapy dog?!
