Hope For Southall Street Homelessness

At Dairy Meadow we are so proud of how our children become model citizens - maybe we should add another E to our 'Enjoy, Educate, Embrace, Empower' in the form of 'Empathy'? For proof of this we need to look no further than Mrs Uppal's latest Skills Builder project.

Last year, in Year 1, our unit was 'Doing Good' and for this we had chosen a local charity that is doing amazing work!  The children in Year 1 took part in a 'Big Toddle' around the school and raised money by getting sponsored by their family and friends.  The aim was to walk around the whole school 10 times throughout the day, which was quite a challenge for some of our children.  Parents were also invited to support their child and we all had an amazing time doing this.

The grand total raised for Hope For Southall and their quest to tackle street homelessness was £233.75. Well done to all involved!
