Hot Chocolate Friday - PSHE!

Our Friday pupil voice sessions go from strength to strength as today Mr Feldman met with 8 of his KS2 friends to discuss the PSHE curriculum.

He felt really naughty providing hot chocolate, biscuits and sweets to children who seemed to know so much about the Eatwell Plate and how to lead a healthy lifestyle! In fact Aroush and Farhia were able to comment knowledgably on diet, saying "Water has 0g of sugar in it" and "if you eat too many sweets you might get diabetes".

Everyone agreed that PSHE was a vital part of the school curriculum for a wide range of reasons. I was very impressed that Elyana and Manya knew that it was taught so that "when you learn things when you're younger, it helps you make decisions when you're older." We're really happy here at Dairy Meadow that our children are able to make informed decisions about their future.

We also touched on how to be safe online and the facilities we have at school to report things that trouble us. Special mention must go to Riddhi who recognised that 'we're all unique - you must live your life without jealousy'.

Thank you to Aroush, Farhia, Manya, Elyana, Aayan, Kabir, Riddhi and Josh for attending - as well as Miss Nessa for pouring the hot chocolate.
