Jocelyn - Our Award Winning Poet!

At Dairy Meadow we always try and get our young people to dream big and realise that nothing should be a barrier to future success - we didn't realise that Jocelyn in Year 1 would achieve this before the age of 7!

Last month, in conjunction with World Poetry Day and Purple Mash, Mrs Andrade organised a competition based around the theme of 'Weather'. There were loads of great entries from Dairy Meadow children, all of whom had their work submitted for judging by the experts at Purple Mash.

Jocelyn in Year 1 produced an absolute amazing poem that actually won the Under 6's competition! We are so proud of Jocelyn and can't believe that here at Dairy Meadow we have a nationally recognised poet in our midst! The first prize is having this joyous ode read out by X-Factor winner Leona Lewis! When this happens, I'll add the link.
