Plot 17 Rocked the House

Picture the scene ok?... You come into school ready for: Guided Reading, Maths and History etc when you notice a huge multicoloured van in the playground. On further inspection you notice that inside there is a set of DJ decks and a rather large speaker system. Thursday 8th June 2023 wasn't just a normal day in the Dairy Meadow - it was the day that Plot 17 brought their message of nature and sustainability to our young environmentalists.

Plot 17 is a mobile block party that combines beats, lyrics and dance to raise awareness of making things green. MC Green Man and DJ D'vo span some tunes, laid down the beats and spit some rhymes to reinforce the connections between nature and themselves (I still can't get the solitary bee song out of my head). Kenny, D'Vo and the rest of their team made sure our junior horticulturalists were aware of the three main things you need to do to lead a happy, environmentally life - 1) Work Together, 2) Make a garden and 3) Make music to watch it grow.

Four pieces of wood
Eight nails
And a hammer
Some compost
A hand full of seeds
And some water
A playlist and some speakers all you need to get you started
then by the time that you finished you’ll know How To Make A Garden

A massive THANK YOU to all the team that worked so hard to inspire our children, Apples and Snakes we salute you! For further information look here - https://applesandsnakes.org/project/plot-17/
