Skills Builder Challenge Day

All of Dairy Meadow put those wonderful Skills Builder skills into practice last week to solve a problem that has been plaguing mankind for generations - How could we start a different society in outer space?

Operation Moonbase saw our children take over a distant moon called Utopia. The range of tasks included: selecting who will be the first citizens, creating an animal that will help people and building a 3D model of a new city.

Obviously such a celestial undertaking can't be completed lightly. Rigorous discussions, planning and experimentation has to occur, the pictures from Year 1 below will show how those skills have been so well embedded in our children's practice.
