The Green Quarter - Statue Naming Ceremony

I know we're all proud to live and/or work in Southall, there is now a reason to be even prouder! You might have seen all the building work that has happened opposite Southall station, this is the creation of an amazing area called The Green Quarter. Through the property developer Berkeley Homes, an area containing: affordable housing, children's playgrounds, sports fields and community hubs have been created. These are places that you and your families might end up living or relaxing in.

I had the pleasure of going down to the opening ceremony last week with some special friends from Lower Key Stage 2. Inside the brand new nature forest you will see some intricately carved animal sculptures (pictures below) - these have been named by some of our children! Isn't it amazing to know that whatever happens to Southall, there will be pieces of art that have been christened by our children!!!
