Valentino - Our STEM visitor comes to talk to KS2

As part of National Science Week, Dairy Meadow had a special guest visitor who inspired our children to think about future careers in STEM. We welcomed Valentino, who is an Amazon Engineer, to chat to pupils from Years 3-6 about his vocational journey in computer technology, culminating in the creation of warehouses for the global giant, Amazon. The pupils asked questions to find out more from Valentino and were so impressed by his 3D designs and his love of Lego! Thank you for coming Valentino, you definitely have made our learning come to life!

Here are some comments below from our children:

"It was interesting to see how the plans can be made into a real warehouse. I asked if he had ever visited one of the warehouses he designed and he has been to the opening of one in Spain!"

"It was nice to meet someone who could tell us about his job. Working at Amazon sounds difficult because it takes 6 weeks to create a 3D design of a warehouse."
