Working with St Paul's Girls School

On Thursday 26th January 2023, a group of our Year 5 children were able to take part in a musical project alongside St Paul's Girls School and Derwentwater Primary.

The aim of the project is to expose children to a range of musical instruments they may not normally have the chance to play. By working with other young musicians, they will support each other to learn, before putting on a magnificent finale by performing live!

Our second session was all about trying out which musical instrument worked best for our young musicians. They were all allowed to take home their instruments to practice! It's clear that all the hard work put in by Mr McInnes and Mrs Smith is really paying off as our children used their J-Sax skills and musical knowledge to play a range of notes in rhythm.
