Year 1 Art Gallery

You've heard of some of the great art galleries of the world: Tate Modern, Louvre, Guggenheim but you haven't lived until you have seen Year 1's SkillsBuilder art gallery.

Under the tutelage of their artistic patrons, Miss Attia and Mrs Uppal, children wrote invitations to their parents inviting them to the one time only art extravaganza. On Tuesday 28th March 2023, the amazing Year 1 gallery opened to showcase fantastic portraits inspired by artists such as Pablo Picasso and Frida Kahlo. 

The children used their essential skill of speaking, they were able to answer questions about their choices in colour and the learning intent.  Year 1 aimed high and used their creativity skills and became artists!  We now have many children who want to become future artists and curators!
