Year 1 Visit Kidzania

I know I'm a 40 year old man but I don't ever remember school trips being this cool when I was at primary school! I remember going to the Science Museum (which is awesome) but I never was able to practice my skills as a surgeon or put out a fire! Our Year 1's did though...

On Wednesday 5th July 2023, our intrepid adventurers had  a wonderful day exploring Kidzania in London where they learnt all about jobs and the different types of work that are available.

Our junior careers explorers channelled their knowledge of SkillsBuilder and reflected on all the wonderful careers related learning they have been exposed to, meaning they were able to make connections of the essential skills to those of a workplace such as, teamwork, staying positive and listening.  Our Year 1s had so much fun being firefighters, police officers and pilots! We hope this experience truly lit a passion inside that might even follow our children into future employment.

Thank you to our lovely parent helpers and everyone for making our last trip of Year 1 incredible!
