Year 2 Cooking Workshop

Calling all budding Jamie Oliver's and Nadiya Hussain's - there was a wonderful smell coming from the Year 2 classrooms on Wednesday 29th November 2023. 

As a part of Year 2's DT topic they had special visitors from a company called ‘Kiddie Cook’. 

The children were taught how to make apple crumble. Each child made their own apple crumble; following a recipe, chopping apples using a child friendly knife, using chopping boards and measuring ingredients.  We hope this ignites a passion in our young chefs to continue baking and making healthy nutritious meals for their family. Alongside this children were taught the importance of washing hands and how good hygiene is necessary to work safely and efficiently.
