Year 2 Visit the Wetlands Centre
Just before the Easter holidays, our zoologists in Year 2 went and explore the London Wetland Centre in Barnes.
Despite some rather horrific weather, the children got a chance to learn about the different habitats and microhabitats different animals belong to. Following on from that, they carried out different activities including pond dipping and inspecting a range of insects.
All children that visited would have received information about a free visit. The Wetland Centre really is a remarkable oasis of calm (and only 15 minutes from Hammersmith train station). You can see all manner of migrating birds, a breeding pair of otters and sensational array of other water fowl and fauna. Further details can be founds here.
