Year 3 History Workshop - Portals to the Past

On Tuesday 5th December 2023, Year 3 went back in time - a very long way! Mrs Ali organised an awesome workshop - this is what she had to say about it:

On Tuesday 5th December 2023, Year 3 travelled back in time to the Stone Age in a Portals to the Past workshop! They explored various historical artefacts such as stone age hammers, hand axes and arrowheads and took part in a pre historic quiz. In the afternoon, they enjoyed stories, dancing and music around a 'fire'. Then each class practiced deer hunting using pretend spears. Children ended the day by re-enacting a stone age burial. Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed themselves and learnt many interesting facts about Prehistoric Britain and the Stone Age.
