Year 3 Pedestrian Training

On Monday 16th October 2023, Year 3 took part in a pedestrian training course.

Children learnt how and where to cross the road safely. Children explored reasons why road safety is important and why sometimes it is difficult to cross the road. They then had the opportunity to put into practice what they learnt. In pairs, children crossed between parked cars, at a zebra crossing and at pelican crossing. The main important message they learnt was The Green Cross Code. Although most Year 3 children would usually have an adult with them when crossing the road, they now feel much more confident about crossing the road and know what rules to follow to keep themselves safe.
