Year 3 Young Engineers

Our young engineers in Year 3 created a locomotive as part of their DT unit 'Making it Move' - they were fortunate enough to test them out at a special event with other Ealing schools.

On Monday 16th June, 10 lucky children from Year 3 participated in a STEM competition where they tested out the speed and distance of their locomotives. The event was hosted by Gifford Primary School and Primary Engineer and there were 5 other schools who participated in the competition. Dairy Meadow did not come back empty handed! Anaya and Prabhjot were awarded a medal for ‘Best communicators’ for confidently answering questions about their project in an interview with engineer Ian Gent.  Elliott and Mehar were awarded the runners up at Apprentice level. Both were awarded with a medal and cap. Well done to all!

Overall it was a fantastic day which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Mr Feldman for coming along and helping out on the day!
