Year 5 Fieldwork Trip

Thursday 5th October 2023 saw our intrepid Year 5's conduct some fieldwork studies to supplement their geography and science curriculum. Thanks to our relationship with Berkeley Homes, our botanists and zoologists were able to explore all the areas of the new Green Quarter development - a verdant oasis just opposite Southall station.

Here, our children were able to complete a series of workshops to hone their knowledge and skills of the outside world. Maps were followed to navigate the site, soil samples were analysed to explore minibeast content, ecosystems were touched upon and we even got to meet some birds of prey!

A big thank you to Jags Sanghera from Berkeley Homes for organising. Also to Mr McInnes, Mr Rashid and Mrs Sehmi for accompanying.
