Year 5's Out of this World Experience

The famous novelist, Terry Pratchett, once said "so much universe, so little time" - in a bid to make our solar system just that little bit more manageable for our future astronauts, Year 5 took part in an amazing STEM workshop with St Paul's Girls School in Hammersmith.

Our celestial explorers tackled a range of hands-on practical activities, using equipment rarely used in primary schools, to help navigate the mysteries and complexities of space exploration.

Our intergalactic scientists had to apply their knowledge to new situations, work under pressure and show off their teamwork through co-operating with other schools. The tasks included: analysing Mars soil samples, engineer landing vehicles and even arranging emergency blood transfusions!

It truly was a memorable day - a massive 'thank you' to Mr McInnes and Miss Francois for supporting on this mission!
