Year 6 Glider Workshop
On Tuesday 30th April 2024, our young aerospace engineers in Year 6 took part in a workshop all based around the physics of flight.
Working in partnership with others (and some parents!), their task was to investigate what wing shape, fuselage and tail shape is the most efficient to propel a glider through the skies!
You can see from the pictures below that a lot of thought and consideration went into making our prototypes. All of the Year 6 team were proud of the accuracy in measuring results and the technical ability demonstrated during the planning and construction process.
A big 'Thank You!' to Thales and Smallpeice for organising.
